“Ocean Park Conservation Alliance” Accreditation System

To encourage schools to partake in conservation activities, Accreditation System has been set up by the Park. Participating school will be endorsed as “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance School” immediately upon registration. Meanwhile, schools will be endorsed as “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Outstanding School” upon the achievement of conservation goals via the completion of all tasks of 3 flagship activities. All “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Outstanding School” can compete for “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Champion School” Distinguished Community Service Award and Innovation Award.

Flagship Activities

Task

"SGREEN" Interschool Recycling Competition

Collect data of recyclables and submit the data.

“Eat package free food, local or seasonal (Low Carbon PLS)” Day

Promote the concepts of “Low Carbon PLS” at school  and submit one photo that could best represent the theme of “Low Carbon PLS”.

City Nature Challenge 2025

Using “iNaturalist” to record local wildlife and submit the data.


Results of “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Outstanding School” and “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Champion School” will be announced at the end of semester (Early July), with certificate or banner as token of thanks.


Target: Primary and Secondary students from Hong Kong Government Schools, aided schools and private schools (including international schools) in 2024/2025 school year.


Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Accreditation System

“Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Member School”: Participating schools will be recognised as “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance School” immediately upon registration and are able to join the conservation activities and workshops.

Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Outstanding School”: Member schools will be awarded “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Outstanding School” banner after participating in all 3 flagship activities and completing all required missions.

“Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Champion School”: All “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance School” can compete for “Ocean Park Conservation Alliance Champion School” Award.  Teacher representatives shall upload conservation related activities (held at school / community) report via this link on or before 30th May 2025. Report shall include activity proposal, content and photos.
